Calendar Girls - Second Audition

You’ll have seen the exciting news that we’ve chosen Calendar Girls by Tim Firth as our November production. It’s a fantastic play that tells the story of a group of ordinary women from a small Yorkshire village who decide to create an "alternative" nude calendar to raise money for a local hospital in memory of a friend's husband who died from leukaemia. The play (which was also a 2003 film with Helen Mirren and Julie Walters) is a comedy with a touch of heart-warming sadness and will be a great start to our 2025/26 season.

It goes without saying that all “nudity” will be tastefully done and all precautions will be put in place to save any blushes – if any concerns do look at the amdram versions on Youtube which give you an idea how this can be achieved.
